A lavender dream that came to life when Toni & John emigrated to Canada from France. English by birth they had memories of English Lavender in cottage gardens, and luxury European Lavender products.

Starting with 1800 plants and dream to create a Lavender Essential Oil product range that would make real Lavender products available to everyone. Toni & John began a journey of designing and creating a Lavender Brand with out compromise.

At Stirling In 2003, the first 1800 plants suffered a 95% winter-kill, then to recover every Lavender was planted in the lower field. By 2006 the field stock was increased to 10,000 plants, maintaining weed control was a full time task which kept John & Toni on their knees all summer long. The fields were time consuming, a labour of love, but the Canadian winters took their toll each year on the younger plants.

The first product Linen Water, was developed in 2003, a Victorian Recipe, our version was a perfect copy of Grandmas except she blended the Essential Oil with Gin as opposed to our pure alcohol. The product range has grown to 50plus products today, all with the same philosophy of making a natural quality blend, no fragrances, man made synthetics.

In 2006, we decided as LavenderHills continued to grow, a new location at Brighton gave us a +4C degree winter and a chance to reduce the winter-kill, the new location on highway 2 was protected and enjoyed lake effect from Lake Ontario. 10,000 plants were transplanted to Brighton, and planted into a garden format, with compact planting to reduce the weeding chore of the Stirling Fields.

Today, at Brighton, the growing, harvesting, product blending, retail and wholesale, bottling, shipping is all completed by Toni & John personally, so when you order, they make the products is small batches ensuring you receive a fresh made Lavender Product, friends at Stirling help with jam and chocolate manufacture.

The products are growing in popularity every day, the original commitment to only make the best Lavender Essential Oil Brand in the World, never to compromise on ingredient quality still stands strong today.
